UCLA Opens Five New Physical Therapy Sites

UCLA is expanding its physical therapy program by bringing services to five new locations. "We are strategically growing in order to meet the rehabilitation needs of the population as we continue to focus on enhancing wellness and preventing hospital readmissions," says Ellen Wilson, UCLA's director of therapy services. Dr. Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease Offered

The Dr. Ornish program - which is scientifically proven not only to prevent but also to reverse heart disease - includes exercise, a strict plant-based diet, stress management and community-building components. In April, UCLA became the first site in Southern California certified to offer the program to eligible Medicare patients.
